Quantitative Fit Testing

Fit testing requirements are based in the OSHA Standard for respiratory protection 29 CFR1910.132.  The recommended fit test method is quantitative.   There are two types of fit testing that TSCC can provide.  The first is with the Porta-Count, a particle counter that measures particles inside and outside the mask to give a fit factor.  The second is with controlled negative pressure.  TSCC utilizes a DNI FT 3000 which draws the air out of the mask and tests the seal under “pressure.”
